These handmade artisan ceramic crosses with hand carved motif and matt white glaze, are made in Jalisco Mexico, in the family run workshop of Francisco,.
The Fair trade tassels and pom-poms are crafted by indigenous artisan Lucy in Chiapas, who uses techniques taught to her by her mother and grandmother.
The crosses are then assembled in my studio, using vegetable tanned leather laces.
Each cross is perfectly imperfect, having been crafted by human hands - no two are the same. Due to the handmade nature of the item, from time to time they do have small inconsistencies and/or blemishes.
The crosses measure approximately 200mm wide x 270mm high or 7.5inches wide x 10.5 inches high, and come ready to hang with a leather loop on the back.
